Chow is a strident supporter of a woman's so-called "right" to have an abortionist dismember and decapitate the child in her womb. She supports abortion-on-demand, fully-funded by the taxpayer. Chow also vociferously opposes the true definition of marriage between a man and a woman. As a past federal Member of Parliament, Chow has done incredible harm to preborn children and to family values with her deplorable anti-life, anti-family voting record. Chow is a strong supporter of the transgenderism political movement which is forcing all public institutions to allow men access to girls washrooms, change rooms and showers.

As an Ontario Liberal MPP under former leader Kathleen Wynne, Ms. Hunter betrayed Ontarians' constitutional right to free speech, freedom of assembly, and the right to protest by voting in favour a draconian Liberal bill to establish "No Free Speech Zones" near all Ontario abortion facilities.

The unconstitutional Bill 163, which became law, bans pro-life witness and free speech on taxpayer-owned, public sidewalks within a radius of up to 150 metres of every abortuary in Ontario. This "Bubble Zone" law can put peaceful, pro-life sidewalk counsellors and demonstrators in jail for 6 months, along with the possibility of a $5000 fine for the first "offense". This law will directly result in the deaths of many more preborn children who could have been saved by pro-life sidewalk counsellors, as so many thousands have been over the years.

Also, Hunter has publicly expressed her personal support for the radical sex Ed curriculum which was written under the direction of a convicted pedophile, the former Deputy Education Minister Benjamin Levin, for the purpose of sexualizing children.

While campaigning on Municipal Election Day 2018, Mr. Matlow was asked by a constituent how he felt about life from conception to natural death. In response, Mr. Matlow said flatly, "I won't get your vote. I'm pro-choice".

Matlow has been a Toronto City Councillor for several terms.

1. Organizations like Planned Parenthood (PP) routinely counsel women to have abortions, and increasingly, are involved in dispensing the chemical abortion pill. Given that abortion is a controversial practice that many taxpayers in your municipality find abhorrent, do you agree that PP and similar “sexual health agencies" should not receive taxpayer funds through the municipality? YesNo (based on voting record)No (per pro-abortion stance)Says it's not a municipal issue.
2. Do you acknowledge that human life begins at conception (fertilization)? Yes------
3. Do you consider yourself pro-life or pro-choice? Pro-lifePro-choice (based on voting record as an NDP MP)Pro-choice (per voting record as an MPP)Pro-choice (based on verbal response to a constituent in 2018 election)
4. There has been a move in some municipal jurisdictions to pass bylaws which establish censorship zones, also called “bubble zones”, around abortion facilities. These unconstitutional censorship zones make it illegal to express peaceful pro-life speech, including silent prayer, on taxpayer-owned public sidewalks within the vicinity of abortion facilities and pharmacies which dispense abortion pills. If elected, would you vote to oppose such a censorship bylaw, if it were ever proposed? YesNo (based on mayoral campaign rhetoric)No (per voting record as an MPP)--

Furey has not responded to CLC's election survey, so his views on abortion are unknown. However, as a longtime journalist we know some things about his approach to social conservative issues.

As far as we know, Furey has never been hostile to pro-lifers. In fact, he has been sympathetic to the free speech rights of pro-life Canadians. Furthermore, he has criticized the liberal media for its biased and hostile coverage of pro-life politicians, for example, when the media attacked MPP Sam Oosterhoff for attending a pro-life event.

In fact, Furey was respectful when he interviewed CLC's Director of Political Operations, Jack Fonseca, for the now-defunct Sun News TV, where Furey was a TV host.

Another sign that Furey may be sympathetic to the pro-life movement is the fact that True North, the news media organization where he works, has been very favourable to pro-life and pro-family views.

In particular, True North's critique of Transgender ideology has been extensive and refreshing in a media landscape that often encourages the anti-family, child-abusive gender-cult.

In the mayoral race, one of Furey's key policy platforms is his commitment to ending the so-called "Safe Injection Site" boondoggle that left-leaning politicians have foisted on Toronto residents. These sites, sometimes called "heroin shooting galleries", do not attempt to rehabilitate drug abusers, but rather to provide a "safe space" where they can simply continue abusing drugs. According to Furey, this left-wing approach has led to more overdose deaths and harm to the surrounding communities, not less.

This is an indication that Furey can put common sense ahead of socialist ideologies and "progressive programs" that don't work.

Although he has never responded to CLC's pro-life election questionnaire, these common-sense and free-speech affirming aspects of Furey's background and electoral platform make his candidacy stand out from scores of other candidates.
