Winston is very solid in his Catholic faith, and pro-life convictions. On April 28, 2025, he voted in favour of a motion to ban all political symbols from Catholic schools, including the controversial LGBT Pride flag.

.

On June 5, 2023 she retweeted a post by the heretical, pro-sodomy American priest, Father James Martin, in which the scandalous promoter of homosexual blessings and all things gay and trans, wrote: "Can Catholics celebrate Pride Month? Yes, because it is not about personal vanity, but human dignity."

Ms. Masters was also sanctioned in 2024 with a Code of Conduct violation for an egregious financial conflict of interest, in which she had been involved in voting to award her husband with WCDSB contracts.

On April 28, 2025, Kraft voted in favour of continuing to fly the sin-laden LGBTQ "Pride" flag at every Catholic school, throughout the entire month of June.

She displayed her dissent from Catholic moral teaching about human sexuality as early as Oct. 7, 2014, during an all-candidate's forum in which she supported Catholic teachers marching in Toronto's Gay Pride Parade. The gay pride parade contradicts Catholic sexual teaching, Christian beliefs about marriage, and celebrates homosexual sex. The gay pride parade is also also a raunchy, lewd event which features full frontal nudity, mock sex acts, sexual bondage and sadomasochism. For this reason, it has been described as a 'sex parade' by several critics. It is grossly inappropriate for any Catholic to support this event which undermines Catholic beliefs, much less for someone who seeks to be a school trustee and would have a fiduciary duty to uphold and teach the Catholic faith.

On April 28, 2025, Weiler voted in favour of continuing to fly the sin-laden LGBTQ "Pride" flag at every Catholic school, throughout the entire month of June.
As early as October 16, 2022 at an all candidates debate at the Victoria Hills Community Centre, Ms. Weiler spoke strongly in favour of flying the transgender/homoesexual Pride flag at Catholic schools, seemingly oblivious to the fact that the Catholic Church - and Christianity in general - has always held the homosexual & transgender lifestyles to be sinful.

In response to a question from a faithful Catholic voter asking whether she would work to remove the sinful homosexual and transgender Pride Flag from Waterloo Region Catholic schools, Ms. Ashby became insulting and indignant towards the voter, and made it clear that she opposes Catholic moral teaching on the sinfulness of homosexual acts. As such, Ms. Ashby has placed herself outside the moral boundaries of the Catholic Church, and has no business running for election as a Catholic school trustee.
At an all candidates meeting on October 16, 2022, Ashby spoke strongly in support of flying the transgender/homosexual Pride flag at Catholic schools, seemingly oblivious to how antithetical that is to Catholic teaching.

Mr. Grabka is in favour of flying the scandalous Pride flag in the WCDSB. As justification for his anti-Catholic position, he points to confusing signals coming from members of the Church's hierarchy on the issue, as well as his misguided concept of Christian love by which he describes those engaged in sinful sexual behaviour as being marginalized.

Although some of her answers to CLC's 2022 election survey were good, others were bad. She said she supports flying the transgender / homosexual "Pride" flag at Catholic schools, and schockingly, belives that flying such a symbol of sexual sin over the heads of children as young four years old, for an entire month, will not impair the faith, morals or values of the students, parents or teachers. She leans pro-life but cannot be considered fully pro-life because of certain exceptions which she believes make the killing of babies in the womb morally acceptable.

4. Will you oppose sex-ed programs which are contrary to Church teaching? I will do my best to ensure that the church teachings are the guideline. If this does happen then it would need to be taught at the right age. I feel that sex-end is taught too young now and that a lot of kids do not understand what is being taught.
5. Given that the Gay Pride flag is a controversial political symbol which contradicts Church teaching on marriage & human sexuality, will you oppose any and all proposals to fly the Gay Pride flag at Catholic schools, at the board office, or to acknowledge and celebrate June as “Pride month”? I believe that we should raise the flag... I don’t think it is up to us to make judgment on anyone as that is up to God to make the final decision. It won’t change anyone’s religion, values or morals.
