In 2018 Mr. Saunders gave perfect answers to CLC's election questionnaire. However, when asked a further question about whether he supports the wonderful Sanctity of Life policy passed by the Halton Catholic School Board which, at the time, banned schools from fundraising for charities that directly or indirectly support the moral evils of abortion, the destruction of embryonic human beings for research, euthanasia, etc, he said he has a problem with the word "indirect".

CLC's fully supports the word indirect. Indeed without it, charities can publicly and vociferously support and promote every assault against preborn human life so long as they can show that they do "other good works" as well. The fact is that without the word "indirect", the Sanctity of Life policy is useless, lacking any teeth whatsoever.

Gave answers to CLC's 2022 election survey that were good overall, with a couple of exceptions. Martin needs to be educated further on those matters in order to become fully harmonized with Catholic moral teaching.

Ian McCombe is a representative of Halton Parents for Change, a dissident group that is working to undermine Catholic moral teaching. This is an anti-Catholic group that is trying to infiltrate the Catholic School Boar and which will proceed to destroy it from within by promoting practices like flying the Gay Pride flag and imposing LGBTQ+ “training” and “teaching” in Catholic classrooms. Not surprisingly, Halton Parents for Change support pro-LGBT ideology Halton Catholic Trustees Brenda Agnew and Nancy Guzzo.

McCombe also has the support of Toronto Catholic District School Board Trustee Markus de Domenico, who is notorious for his anti-Catholic embrace of radical LGBT ideology.
