Councillor Wilson seconded and voted in favour of an October 31, 2023 motion to censor pro-life expression throughout the City of Hamilton. The motion asked Staff to draft a censorship by-law to prevent the effective delivery of abortion victim photography to city residents, by requiring them to be placed inside sealed envelopes. Furthermore, the motion asked staff to investigate how to ban the display of protest signs containing abortion victim photography, on all public, taxpayer-owned property, throughout the city.

The use of abortion victim photography has been an effective strategy to convert "pro-choice" Canadians to the cause of saving preborn children from death by abortion, and thus, has become a target of illiberal censors like Wilson. The Charter enshrines freedom of expression as a fundamental right for all Canadians, and does not grant any exception for abortion victim photography, nor even for people being upset by the images. Any such by-law is unconstitutional. In fact, abortion victim photography plays an important role in waking up Canadians, out of their apathy, to the holocaust of abortion which claims 100,000 children's lives annually. It is essential pro-life expression, and must not be suppressed.

1. Organizations like Planned Parenthood (PP) routinely counsel women to have abortions, and increasingly, are involved in dispensing the chemical abortion pill. Given that abortion is a controversial practice that many taxpayers in your municipality find abhorrent, do you agree that PP and similar “sexual health agencies" should not receive taxpayer funds through the municipality? no response--

4. There has been a move in some municipal jurisdictions to pass bylaws which establish censorship zones, also called “bubble zones”, around abortion facilities. These unconstitutional censorship zones make it illegal to express peaceful pro-life speech, including silent prayer, on taxpayer-owned public sidewalks within the vicinity of abortion facilities and pharmacies which dispense abortion pills. If elected, would you vote to oppose such a censorship bylaw, if it were ever proposed? No (based on voting record)
