In January 2023, Councillor Caputo introduced a Motion in Council to declare that "Sault Ste Marie city council proudly embraces our diverse population, including our budding drag community." This obscene motion, seconded by fellow Councillor Lisa Vezeau-Allen, was put forward only days before a transvestite "Drag Queen Story Hour" event that was scheduled to take place at a local public library, and was meant to discredit a planned protest by concerned citizens who opposed exposing children to transvestitism and sexual confusion.

4. There has been a move in some municipal jurisdictions to pass bylaws which establish censorship zones, also called “bubble zones”, around abortion facilities. These unconstitutional censorship zones make it illegal to express peaceful pro-life speech, including silent prayer, on taxpayer-owned public sidewalks within the vicinity of abortion facilities and pharmacies which dispense abortion pills. If elected, would you vote to oppose such a censorship bylaw, if it were ever proposed? survey not sentsurvey not sentsurvey not sentsurvey not sent
